How to properly apply skin care products & how much of it

"How much product should I be using?" I get asked this all the time, so let's break it down and take it a step further.

Cleanser: Dime size. Wet your face with lukewarm water and use your fingertips to apply. Move in gentle circular motions. Pat skin dry with a soft washcloth. I love muslin wash clothes!

*NOTE: Cleanse skin twice in the evening and once in the morning.

Scrub: Dime size. Exfoliate skin 2 - 3 times per week (based on skin type). Remember to use soft and gentle circular movements. Also, make sure that you are using a gentle scrub, so that you are not causing micro-tears in your skin.

Toner: 3 - 4 sprays. Spray toner onto cotton rounds (the flat ones) and wipe to remove remaining makeup / dirt, etc. Be sure to get into hairline. In the morning, you can just spritz in on your skin. Depending on the toner that you are using, you may even be able to spritz in on throughout the day as a refresher 😉

Eye Gel / Cream: Pea size. Start at the inner corner underneath your eye, applying small dots in a semi-circle up to your brow bone. Gently dab with ring finger in that semi-circle pattern to stimulate circulation. Wait a minute for skin to absorb before continuing with your step. Be sure not to pull or stretch the skin.

Serum: Pea size.

Moisturizer: Blueberry size.

Sunscreen: Nickel size. Reapply throughout the day, if possible.

*To apply serum, moisturizer and sunscreen: Spread it between your palms without rubbing too much. Dab all over your face, neck & décolleté using gentle pressing motions. For each step, wait a minute for skin to absorb before continuing with your step.

Not sure if you caught what I underlined, made bold and italic, be sure that you are bringing the products down to your neck and upper chest area. This is called décolleté. You maybe asking why? Well just imagine a beautiful, glowing, youthful face with a dry, wrinkled, sun damaged neck and chest in a beautiful low cut top . Not so cute is it? That could have been prevented, if they simply applied their products there. Another thing, I'd like to suggest, is putting you product on your ear lobes as well because gravity will take them down with age too! 😂

I'm giving you guys all kinds of info, I hope you applying what I'm telling you. Your older self will thank you 😍

Skin care is a journey and I am here to help guide you 💕

Best,

Lindsay
